Named to Inc’s 2019 Top 100 Female Founders, Gelobter is among the first African-American women to have attained a degree in Computer Science. Since graduating from Brown University with a course of study concentrating in artificial intelligence and machine learning, Gelobter has led within her field as computer scientist, technology architect, and chief executive.
During the Presidency of Barack Obama, Gelobter served as the Chief Digital Service Officer for the United States Department of Education, leading efforts to build the United States Department of Education College Scorecard and empower students and their families to make financially sound investments.
Gelobter’s resume includes experiences across digital spaces that empowered the initial delivery of many internet standards such as Shockwave, online imaging and animation, and household names such as Brightcove, Hulu and Joost. Moreover, Gelobter led Product, Technology, and Operations teams as Interim Head of Digital for BET Networks, and has established a lasting legacy in where, how, and when we interact with media.
As an entrepreneurial leader, Gelobter has delivered innovations within strategy development and business operations, user interface design and optimization, product management and marketing, and computer engineering.
